I started in the hair industry when I left school, where I found my passion for colouring, cutting and styling hair.
After working in Taunton for a few years I moved to Cornwall to chase the surf lifestyle. Newquay was a great place to live and I soon found a unique salon with one of the best colour technicians I have ever worked with. He re-trained me in all aspects of colouring hair and I soon became a confident technician. Moving to London was the next natural career progression which was both fun and exiting. After having my first daughter I made the choice to be near my family in Taunton and moved back. I worked in a day spa for the first 5 years, but something was missing. I missed working in a salon environment. I missed the buzz and the energy that comes with a busy salon.
Combers Inside-Out is the premier salon in Taunton which suits me perfectly and I know my guests will appreciate. The product brand they work with is the premium Italian sustainable hair and beauty b-Corp brand ‘Davines’ (dav-in-ness) which is very special and unique, including the hair colour. Being a big colour specialist salon we naturally also use ‘Olaplex’. The salon has recently been refurbished sustainably and is the best looking salon I have ever worked in. Looking out into the Courtyard you don’t feel like you are in the centre of town – it’s calm and relaxing and the best restaurant in Taunton is next door. The Team at Combers are the most welcoming and creative people and their energy make work fun and enjoyable.
I am one of 3 guys that work in the salon, and it feels like I have found my spiritual home, and look forward to welcoming my guests to share in my ongoing journey with Combers Inside-Out and indeed welcoming new ones.
