Catherine McGuinness
I used to get my hair cut at Combers when I was at school and it inspired me to look to hairdressing as a career. I applied for a job as soon as I was old enough and completed my apprenticeship and never looked back. That was back in 2000.
I currently work 3 days with Combers, as I have two young boys who are a joy to raise, which has only intensified my passion for hairdressing.
I love all things about hairdressing and beauty, especially cutting. My favourite cut is the bob, which is always in fashion in one form or another. People say I’m a perfectionist and as I get to know myself better, it is difficult to disagree. The ‘Bob’ has clean design lines, which work for me. I guess I like order and neatness even if my boys don’t.
I enjoy other people’s company and people say I am always smiling and have time for others, which in a service industry I would think is a given, but I suppose sadly, is not always true.
