Catherine McGuinness’s journey in hairdressing began at Combers Inside-Out — she used to get her hair cut here as a schoolgirl, which inspired her to pursue it as a career. She started her apprenticeship as soon as she could and has been passionate about hairdressing ever since, joining the Combers team in 2000.
Catherine currently works three days a week, balancing her career with raising her two young boys. Motherhood has only deepened her appreciation for her craft and strengthened her passion for creating hair that makes her guests feel confident and cared for.
She specialises in all aspects of colour and ladies’ hairdressing, with a particular love for cutting. Catherine’s favourite style is the bob, with its clean lines and timeless appeal — perfectly reflecting her own perfectionist tendencies. Guests often comment on her attention to detail, professionalism, and her warm, friendly nature.
Known for her always-smiling approach and ability to make everyone feel welcome. When she laughs the room warms up with a potent energy that is infectious. Catherine ensures each guest receives a personalised, attentive experience, which is authentic and consistent, a personality trait that we all benefit, as she always makes time for all of us. Her combination of skill, care, and personality makes her a favourite with both longstanding and new guests and her colleagues
