James Willetts

Thank you for visiting this page which tells you about our fundraising efforts in aid of The James Willetts Fund. This charity is very dear to our hearts as it has been set up in memory of James Willetts who died aged 18 from brain cancer.

Many of you will remember James as well as his parents, Simon and Carolyn Willetts, and brother Cameron (stylists and directors of Combers Inside-Out Hairdressing), and sister Madison.

James, who attended Taunton School, tragically died in September 2015 following a 20-month battle with brain cancer.

The James Willetts Fund was set up by his family to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity, which funds medical research and supports people affected by brain tumours.

To date, the James Willetts Fund has raised more than £66,104.84 (correct as of May 2023) and we continue to organise a variety of fundraising events annually.  Cameron is currently in training for a Tough Mudder challenge in August 2023 to raise funds. He would love it if you could support him with a donation via this JustGiving page.

Around 27 people are diagnosed every day with a brain tumour and around 5000 die every year from the disease. Only 2% of cancer research funding is spent on brain tumours so we'd really appreciate your support.

If you would like to raise funds in memory of James, please email Simon Willetts at simon@combers.co.uk  You can also make a donation here.  To stay up-to-date with our fundraising efforts, please follow us on our Instagram page.    Find out how your donations can help here.
