July 19th 2021 is the date of the Government stage 4 roadmap where rules can be relaxed.
Combers is in the personal care business so you won’t be entirely surprised that we are taking a more cautious approach to the relaxing of Covid rules. We have a large team of stylists many of which are not yet double jabbed and guests of all ages with varying attitudes to Covid which as a company we aknowledge and respect. Whatever your personal attitude is towards risk, we trust you respect that our attitude has to reflect a broader position, so we ask you to continue to attend your appointment with a face mask for the time being.
We will continue with the current precautions, such as the saftey screens, salon sanitisation and social distancing where possible and our team will continue to wear masks for their protection and yours. Visors will not be worn.
Changes we are making from July 19th
- On arrival please come to reception at the time of your appointment where you will be most welcome to take a seat.
- Our bespoke colour bar will once again be specifically for colouring hair as it was designed for.
- Laundered towels and gowns will begin to make a welcome return
- Complimentary refreshments will be served
- Paper magazines will replace the digital version from August.
- Augustus restaurant will offering our colour guests a brunch/lunch menu in our colour bar for your enjoyment while your colour processes and a wine and beer selection for all guests.
I am sure you appreciate now more than ever how difficult it has been for every service business through the pandemic and many months of closure. Now that we are able to offer hairdressing services we still have to manage our time carefully to look after your needs and expectations. Stylists ultising their time they have available with your help is key to their and our continued survival. Last minute cancellations, recheduling, and no shows leave our stylists unable to work, which effects their income and makes them sad and frustrated. We do the best we can to remind our guests of their pending appointments by way of a text reminder 3 days before each appointment. We therefore respectfully ask that you give us a minimum of 48 hours notice for rescheduling or cancellation. We reserve the right to make a charge and ask for a non refundable deposit on future appointments.
New tighter regulations imposed on us, together with our commitment to the proffessional customer care you would expect from Combers Inside Out hair salon, therefore we will require all guests having a colour appointment to receive a skin sensitivity test before we can proceed. We appreciate this may seem like an inconvenience especially as only 1.5% experience an allergic reaction, but we don’t want it to be you. If you have a Colour appointment booked and you have not had an AAT (Alergy Alert Test) for 6 months, call 01823 334331 to arrange this quick and free test in the salon at least 48 hours before your appointment.

Our high level service protocol strictly follows Government saftey guidance and anticipate that from our reopening in April 2021 our current ‘We Care’ policy will remain in place until further notice.
It is important that you read our ‘We Care’ policy here. This will ensure you come to your appointment fully prepared for your safety and that of others, as without your help it may not be possible to fulfil your appointment.
